Encryption on Almus AI

Secure Password: When you register, we ask you to create a password that is stored only on your device. This password is used to encrypt your memories, ensuring that only you can access them.
Data Encryption: Your memories are encrypted on your device before being stored in our database. This means that only you can decrypt and read your memories.
Secure Semantic Search: To enable semantic searches, we create abstract representations (embeddings) of your memories before encrypting them. These representations cannot be reversed to reveal the original content.
AI Interaction: When you request AI interactions, your memories are decrypted on your device and sent to a language model to generate responses. We never have access to your decrypted memories.

Third-Party Services

We use various third-party services to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our services:

Supabase: We use Supabase as our data storage provider, a widely trusted data storage provider. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Learn more about privacy and security in Supabase.
OpenAI: We use these services for advanced computational tasks, including but not limited to, artificial intelligence operations and language processing. All data processed through these services is anonymized; for Almus AI it contains only the contents of journal entries without any user-identifying information.
